Encouragement

Most of us need encouragement when we don't know how to do something, when we're working on it or struggling.

I think of a little girl who came to me one day and said, "Dr. Carlson, Dr. Carlson, look at my paper."

She showed me her paper and every word on it was spelled wrong.

I looked at her and said, "Maureen, I really like your paper. The margin are nice and neat, and your printing is clear and readable."

And she said, "Thank you Dr. Carlson, I've really been working hard on it. Next I'm going to work on my spelling."
