Who am I?

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. ~ William Arthur Ward

My Hero

My Hero As I ponder the love that I saw in his eyes, A Godly love, given without compromise.... I recall many times that he stood by my side, And prodded me on with great vigor and pride. His voice ever confident, firm and yet fair, Always speaking with patience, tenderness and care. The power and might of his hands was so sure, I knew there was nothing we couldn't endure. It's true, a few others provided insight, Yet, he laid the foundation that kept me upright. He's the grandest of men to have lived on this earth, Although he's not royal by stature or birth. He's a man of great dignity, honor and strength. His merits are noble, and of admirable length. He's far greater than all other men that I know, He's my Dad, he's my mentor, my friend and hero. by Debbie Hinton Young

A Mother's Love

Image
How deep is a mother's love? How far does a mother's love go? Is there a limit to her love? Is there always enough of her love? A mother will for the love of her children, Do the things ordinary beings will not do, Things that are seen as a bother, She has them done without much fuss. Always making sure there is ample food for all, Hiding her countless worries for her children, Swallowing anger when her pride is bruised, Forgiving the very child who hurt her feelings. Taking under her loving and gentle wings, The little children of her own children, Pouring her unmatched devotion and affection, Spelling out the great depth of her endless love. Now tell me can you measure a mother's love? Copyright © 2006 Fion Lim. All rights reserved.

Butterfly Fly Away

Butterfly Fly Away lyrics Songwriters: Ballard, Glen; Silvestri, Alan; You tucked me in, turned out the light Kept me safe and sound at night Little girls depend on things like that Brushed my teeth and combed my hair Had to drive me everywhere You were always there when I looked back You had to do it all alone Make a living, make a home Must have been as hard as it could be And when I couldn't sleep at night Scared things wouldn't turn out right You would hold my hand and sing to me Caterpillar in the tree How you wonder who you'll be Can't go far but you can always dream Wish you may and wish you might Don't you worry, hold on tight I promise you there will come a day Butterfly fly away Butterfly fly away, butterfly fly away Flap your wings now you can't stay Take those dreams and make them all come true Butterfly fly away, butterfly fly away We've been waiting for this day All along and knowing just what to do Butterfly, butterfly, butterfly, butterfly fl

November Rain

Winter started early and very cold compare to last year. And, still one of the best song to test FaSha's stereo. :) -Ayah- November Rain When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained But darlin' when I hold you Don't you know I feel the same 'Cause nothin' lasts forever And we both know hearts can change And it's hard to hold a candle In the cold November rain We've been through this such a long long time Just tryin' to kill the pain But lovers always come and lovers always go An no one's really sure who's lettin' go today Walking away If we could take the time to lay it on the line I could rest my head Just knowin' that you were mine All mine So if you want to love me then darlin' don't refrain Or I'll just end up walkin' In the cold November rain Do you need some time...on your own Do you need some time...all alone Everybody needs some time...on their own Don't you know you need some time...all alone I know

The Mayonnaise Jar

Image
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness The Mayonnaise Jar When things in your life seem , almost too much to handle, When 24 Hours in a day is not enough, Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class And had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students, if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebb

Alia: My big kid this week

What if? What if? What if? Now able to move beyond literal thinking and imagine other possibilities, your child spends a great deal of time pondering the "what ifs" of life. Some kids get so snagged on this question that it becomes a bit annoying. But when you reframe it as the sign of a bright, scientific mind, it's much easier to bear – even if you don't always have the answers. Your 7-year-old now "What if?" is a favorite question of second graders: "What if the road ended around the next curve?" "What if I threw this ball up to the top of that tree?" "What if we saved the hail in the freezer?" There's a reason for all this curiosity. Your child is aware that circumstances and conditions can change. In a way, she's tossing out scientific hypotheses and figuring out the plausible possibilities. Science is fun at this age. Second graders love to conduct experiments, make observations, and record their findings. Teacher
